Submission Preparation Checklist
Submissions must meet the following criteria:
- The manuscript adheres to all formatting and structural requirements outlined in the journal's submission checklist.
- The manuscript has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another publication.
- All citations and references are complete and accurate.
- Figures and tables are properly labelled and formatted.
- Written permission has been obtained for all accompanying materials.
- Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format (Download template here [LINK])
Generative AI Policy
BRR permits the responsible use of generative AI tools in manuscript preparation. Any use of AI-assisted technologies must be disclosed by authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their work. AI tools cannot be credited as authors. For more information please check GenAI and AI-Assisted Policy.

The British Research Review (BRR) collects and manages personal information solely for academic and operational purposes, including manuscript handling, peer review, publication, and user account management. Personal data includes any information that can identify a living individual, such as names, email addresses, affiliations, and electronic identifiers like IP addresses.
BRR may process personal information through activities such as collecting, storing, organizing, transferring, or deleting data as required for journal operations.
System BRR’s online platform stores user accounts, submissions, and editorial communications.
Purpose To support the submission, review, editing, and publication of scholarly content.
Data collected Mandatory: username, first name, last name, email, country Encrypted: password Optional: ORCID, affiliation, biography, contact details, and other profile information
Data storage and transfer Data is stored on secure servers used by the journal’s hosting provider. Public metadata for published articles may be shared with indexing services internationally.
Legal basis Consent provided by users when creating an account or submitting work.
Retention Personal data is stored indefinitely as part of the scholarly record unless removal is requested where legally permissible.
